Don’t be a bystander. Tell the bully to STOP, suggest an alternative thing to do, or find an adult or someone else to help. Being a Bystander and watching, can actually encourage a bully to keep going, as they have a false acceptance of what they are doing. Some bystanders even join in, which makes it much harder for the person to get away or cope. Even if you are out somewhere and see someone being bullied, call the emergency number to get help. Don’t put yourself in danger of harm, get help.

Often bullies have been bullied themselves, or don’t know how to make friends. If you get to know a bully, they are less likely to bully you.
