You can easily substitute story books for those you already have, and most other resources are included in the Appendix or within the book. The Lesson Plans and Junior Workbook are best used up to Grade 2 in the first year you use this Package, to set up the basis of a whole school program, to introduce language and strategies to be built on. The program covers every Social and Emotional learning area and has been tried and tested over 6 years. All lessons can be adapted to suit older grades. The Junior Workbook is designed to be taught over one year. More lesson plans and Blackline Masters are being refined to follow up Social and Emotional concepts for older grades and will be ready in the near future.

This Workbook teaches strategies to build resilience, especially if it is followed up at home with discussions suggested on the bottom of each page. Ideally it can be introduced into a school where it would be taught from Prep / Pre Primary to Grade 2, then followed up in the following years to build up and reinforce the strategies.
