Don’t be a bystander. Tell the bully to STOP, suggest an alternative thing to do, or find an adult or someone else to help. Being a Bystander and watching, can actually encourage a bully to keep going, as they have a false acceptance of what they are doing. Some bystanders even join in, which makes it much harder for the person to get away or cope. Even if you are out somewhere and see someone being bullied, call the emergency number to get help. Don’t put yourself in danger of harm, get help.

Be mindful of what you are saying to yourself. This poster is a reminder that when we say negative things to ourselves or others, there IS a way to change that thought process. The AMBER/Yellow light has just a few of the questions you can ask yourself to correct your thinking e.g. “Can I think of that another way?   ….. Am I going to let that thought control me? …. How can I solve this? … Am I exaggerating?” etc. If we stay in the negative thoughts process, we are holding our happiness, and that of those around us back.
